Sony announced the new PS5 pro in September 2024.
The whole world boycott it, because it costs 800€ instead of 500€ for the standard edition, and it brings few improvements only.

Why buy a PS5 standard edition and not a pro?
Make the world better: boycott the PS5 Pro. If not, the next consoles will cost 1000€.

PS5 : disc or digital ?

Games take up just as much space on the console no matter if it’s disc or digital (yeah it’s weird).
Games are getting too big for discs, and more and more, they just work as digital download keys.
Unless you plan on shopping for a lot of pre owned physical games, you wont miss having the optical drive.
Use the money you save to expand internal storage, and get a good external SSD for ps4 games.
PS+ is a must anyway, you get 3 games every month for free to keep (must add them to library each month) and you’ll need it for any multi-player games you want to play.

I went digital and regret it. I’m going to trade for the PS5 slim disk version.

- There have been several stories on here where people bought a second hand PS5 and everything looked fine, but when they went to log in on their account, it wouldn’t go. The PS5 had been banned from the PS network by Sony.

Can we pirate games with Playstation 5 and XBox ?
PS5 pirate games: No.
Technically you kinda can, but you need to be on early firmware and even then I believe it’s still very buggy to get working and you can’t play online iirc.
You can’t jailbreak a ps5 and you can’t just put a game that isn’t a legal game onto a regular ps5. you can do this with a jailbroken ps4 but it has to be a certain firmware to be jailbroken and then it works.
XBox : No.
Just get xbox game pass. that way you won’t waste money on games you will only play once
PS3 and Wii are the best consoles for pirating and you can do it by downloading or literally ripping your own copies of the cd’s and dvd’s or blurays.
